Frequently asked questions

What is a product mode?

A product mode is the merchant-controlled setting that determines which NotifyStock workflow should apply to a specific Shopify product.

Can one product switch between Notify and PreOrder?

Yes. The merchant can change the mode when the product moves from early demand to sold-out restock capture or another supported state.

Does Wishlist depend on product mode?

Wishlist is configured as its own storefront control, but product-mode checks help prevent unrelated workflow widgets from appearing accidentally.

What does Disabled mean?

Disabled means NotifyStock should not collect the selected workflow demand for that product.

How should product modes be tested?

Save the mode, open the matching Theme Editor block, then verify the clean storefront at desktop and mobile widths.
